BBL's Guide To Resisting Amnesiacs
BBL (Posted Aug. 4th, 2002 10:05. Edited: Sep. 10th, 2002 01:01) [OP]
I’m getting sick of answering the question over and over again, so if a newbs joins you can just link them here.
General Info on Amnesiacs
The Wall wants to keep this stuff hidden. We know that. What we didn’t know for a long time was how so many people could supposedly see these things and not speak up about it. The rabbit hole got deeper when not only were they not saying anything, they would claim it never happened. The answer we discovered was Amnesiacs.
Amnesiacs are, put simply, drugs that make you forget. Our best estimates say their strongest ones can even wipe out 5 hours from memory. This is the wonderdrug that helps these people do what they do. Some posters here say they can wipe out a year, but those people are retarded. Just think for a second; how can you not notice you forgot an entire fucking year?
Now, it’s easy to hear this and lose hope “if they can just wipe minds, what are we to do?” Well, I wouldn’t be here if there wasn’t a way to stop it. There’s 2 primary ways: genetics and conditioning.
Amnesiac Side-Effects
Before we begin, I know some of you are probably wondering "How do we even know if we got hit? What if the existence of these things are bullshit?" Well let me tell you, these are a common weapon for the Wall and one thing is that you might have been hit already. A good way to know is by knowing the side effects. The side effects in amnesiac in the short term for like a day or 2 are things like migraines, nausea, and moments of pure anger. But even weeks after you might still have shit like rapid mood swings, times where you are confused for an hour, trouble remembering things you just did. Just by reading this I know some of you realize that this happened to you, and it can still happen even after following my guide, but at least with these steps you'll get something out of it. A little cookie for you migraine.
Word of Warning
This is going to be pretty intense. The conditioning needs to be constant and repetitive. On top of that, if you’re hit with these things, even if you’re lucky enough to be resistant, your brain is going to get scrambled. If you’re not cool with not remembering your birthday, your mom’s face, or even what the plot of Shrek was, then just take the pills and be happy forgetting. Some of the people I know who followed these instructions lost their minds. A couple even got banned, their posts got so incoherent.
So as long as you know the risks, let’s get started.
Resistance vs. Immunity
There are two kinds of statuses you can have when it comes to amnesiacs. One is resistance, characterized by large gaps in memory but still remembering the event. Immunity is when you can remember everything, even when taking the Amnesiacs. You can train resistance, but immunity is only something genetics can give you.
Method 1: Genetics
This is the easiest one, but also entirely luck. You can get two kinds of genetics. You can just straight up not be affected by the drugs or just resist it. First lets talk about the god roll, just being straight up immune. Simply put, you don’t have your memory wiped, in which case, good for you. You are the 1% of the 1%. Now keep it a secret. Like they are not gonna keep an eye on you while they do this? Please…
These guys are well trained and will probably keep an eye on you for 6 months minimum, so don’t be a retard and go on the Warren Forums with your fucking discovery the same day! IT CAN WAIT. MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT BEING WATCHED!
(This said also my buddy JKL made a cool thread talking about being stalked by these gangs check that out too [hyperlink removed])
If you’re not quite as lucky on the draw, you get innate resistance rather than immunity. This is still super good, even if a little inconvenient. You’ll remember certain bits and pieces, but this resistance can still be made stronger via my exercises.
Amnesiacs Types:
As a quick sidenote I should say there are two ways that you could take amnesiac drugs. First is a syringe injection. If you are looking for ways to know what to do when you see this, use your brain. It's a syringe, it’s noticeable. Unless you are strapped down bdsm style it should be easy to get away from. The other method is kinda scary and familiar if you went to frat parties. Pills. These pills can be given two ways as a whole or dissolved in a drink. For getting away from whole pills, just don’t eat strange shit you find and double check your meds. As for the roofie method, my gf told me these methods. Remember what your drink is supposed to look like and if you notice weirds fizzing, colors, etc throw it out. Or you could be a hawk and just check your drinks religiously.
Method 2: Trained Resistance
This method is for those of us who aren’t quite so lucky to be born with outright immunity. We have to work for our resistance, and I will explain how to do it here. One of the more common techniques is to associate a phrase you say constantly with remembering the day’s events. For example: saying “123” in your head then remembering the day’s events from top to bottom. Do it so often that it becomes an instinctual thing when you say your particular phrase. This will train your brain to be able to recall the day’s memories at will. If you ever get amnesiaced, you can pull back some of those memories from them. Remember, this isn’t perfect though so reality check yourself on what you just remembered too.
Another method you can use is “reality anchoring”. Take a look around and remember as many details as you can. Then later on, when you do it again, remember every single thing you can that got you between point A and B. This method is a bit more difficult to pull off, but for people who’ve done it often like me it’s a reliable tool to give you the edge you need. Another way you can reality anchor is by checking your mirror. Make sure you remember how you ended up looking like that. Moving your hair, checking for any new injuries, and other things you don’t remember might be indicators that you’ve been amnesiac’d. Try to reality anchor yourself at least 7 times a day.
The final method of training we’ll talk about today is word association. Remember a sensation, or an emotion and give it a name. If you like coffee, think “bitter” or “hot”, and say it aloud as you experience it. Doing this repeatedly may make you look strange, but you shouldn’t concern yourself too deeply with this. They’re not in the know. Eventually you’ll be able to build information based on words you remember throughout the day. This will build a solid foundation that amnesiacs will have a harder time breaking down. With enough practice you can turn your mind into a fortress like mine, just by remembering words like “hot” “cold” and "fire".
And one final method is also Rigid Schedule keeping. Simply keep a schedule and always stick to it. And at the end of the day recall everything you did. With enough time, you know when you are doing what and can build memory from a few moments ago like nothing. This lets you know when amnesiacs is given to you cause there will just be a chunk of time taken away and the schedule you take is out of wack. Like if you need to be at the gym at 7P.M. but you make it there at 7:45, you know some shit went down. From there it's a matter of going home and recalling your day, you already made the path for you to remember. This said this is the hardest way to resist amnesiacs and requires willpower and discipline to do, but it’s my favorite since it's the one I do regularly.
Side effects of Amnesiac Resistance
It’s no joke, this is your brain, and this is your brain on amnesiacs. I’ve seen more than one person get their brain scrambled doing this. And this is with the Amnesiacs ALSO scrambling your brain. Whole Breakfast Club here. So here is a more comprehensive list of side effects.
First is Chronological Distortion. Simple enough, you lose your sense of time. You’ll remember what happened, but not in what order, and the more that this happens to you and the more that you train this you might forget how much time passed now. Scary shit.
Second, losing a form of memory building. Do you like remembering what your mom’s face looks like? Maybe don’t resist amnesiacs then. This is a risk we take when we train this skill. We might forget how to do complex math, or our first kiss, or maybe when your cousin’s birthday is, but we care about knowing what happened just a little bit more.
Third, Brain Potato. This happens when the memory fortifying exercises works a little too well. You lose yourself in your own head, remembering everything up to this point. Not making any new memories, just living in the old ones. If I had to guess, more than one asylum patient was suffering from this all along. (Check this thread for some more connections between the Wall and asylums [hyperlink removed]) Although, it may be possible to recover from this state, but I doubt it. I’ve never heard of anyone pulling it off.
FINAL EDIT NOTE Sep. 10th, 2002: This thread blew up alot but I kinda feel like pandora doing this. Listen, stop posting your experience on the Warren Vault the same day it happened. I know half you fuckers used my method and its gonna mess up the whole movement if you aren’t careful with how you use it. Uncle Ben and all that, make sure you are responsible with your knowledge and WAIT to post any experiences once eyes are off you.
My tea's gone cold, I'm wonderin' why I
Got out of bed at all
The morning rain clouds up my window
And I can't see at all
And even if I could, it'd all be grey
But your picture on my wall
It reminds me that it's not so bad, it's not so bad

Good post BBL! By the way, you are using the term Amnesiacs wrong. That refers to a forgetful person, not a drug that makes you forget.

Nevermind the fucking name. I’m trying to spread important information here, also I’m not gonna call it something unique but stupid like “amnestics”.

Great post OP! Wanna ask by the way, what does your screenname stand for?
JOCAL (Posted Aug. 4th, 2002 11:02.)
Wow! Drugs that make you forget things and OP happens to be one of the only few that remembers. Get real, and post some ghost threads man. Also “gf told me,” sure bud. Sick of these Wallposters.

Listen, if you want to get your brain scrambled with nothing to show for it. That's on you. How else can you remember your non-existent fucking ghost in mansions. And speaking like you know me, my gf is in the other room right now. I can take a picture and prove it.

Acting like you can post images on the forum directly is funny stuff. LOLOLOLOL Anyway the thread is starting to look toxic, I’ll check in an hour maybe. You kids play nice while I’m gone.
Jabberwocky (Posted Aug. 4th, 2002 12:02.)
Hey so how do you reality anchor then, cause I wanna know how to do that but don’t know where to start.

Yet another noob not actually reading the OP. FML Lurk moar you tard.
YapperlyZam (Posted Aug. 4th, 2002 1:02.)
OP just happened to leave this out, so I’ll help him out with this one. There is another way the drug is given, besides a syringe and pills. It can be given in gas too, and it can be extremely dangerous and I guess you would call it literal gaslighting. LOL I mean for an amateur post this is impressive, but it is missing key details liek the fact that the drug can be a gas is pretty telling how inexperienced BBL is on the Wall. Hell, he doesn’t even tell you how bad the mental effects can be.

LISTEN HERE YOU FUCKING FAGGOT! I LIVED THIS SHIT, DON’T TELL ME WHAT I DO AND DONT KNOW!!! Also are you retaded, it can’t be a fucking gas. 1 How is it supposed to reach your brain, and 2 wouldn’t they always try to pump that in there air then? It’s just common sense, so don’t lecture me a vet veil ripper about shit YOU don’t know about!
[THE THREAD ACCUMULATED 134 POSTS WHICH MOSTLY CONSISTED OF OFF-TOPIC ARGUMENTS.]
The Warren Vaults website was shut down by Authority operations on Feb. 7th, 2003. The website was brought to the attention of the Authority when an individual, having trained their resistance against amnestics, proceeded to discuss their experience less than 24 hours after having been administered them.
This page has been archived both to act as a training piece for Authority agents, as well as demonstrating what disorganized surveillance groups like the Veil Rippers are capable of learning. The provided example shows that while a majority of Veil Rippers are misinformed about some basic pieces of information, they are dangerously correct on others.
One thing to be noted is the amateur nature of this forum post. The sporadic, unstructured, and unprofessional format of these entries demonstrates that the competency of Veil Rippers varies wildly. The amount of accurate information noted by BBL is surprising, but the amount of inaccurate information and discordant method of spreading this knowledge is just as telling. However, even this forum post, as filled with errors it may be, still represents a major threat to the veil. Therefore, any correct information obtained by Veil Rippers should be closely monitored.
This is not to suggest that as agents of the Authority, we should terminate anyone who knows niche pieces of information. While it is easy to disregard these groups and forums as non-threats, it is important to remember that they are not a threat to you but the veil of secrecy. If one or more of these forums somehow gained recognition or influence, it would be one of the most disastrous events to Authority operations since the Fail-Safe Incident. However, "scorched earth” is not productive, either. Deleting a forum such as this may instead vindicate the members of the site. In addition, turning amateur investigators into martyrs is counterproductive. That being said, agents are advised to stay vigilant when interacting with the reports that the automated webcrawler system submits. Every page may harbor data that cannot fall outside of Authority control.
As for the website and their activity, they are an example of differentiating passive versus aggressive force. Most former members of "The Warren Vaults" have either lost interest in the occult, or have only gained an amateur understanding of anomalies. There are, however, a few who have maintained a presence within these online spaces, and investigate the anomalous. Some are currently under surveillance by automated Authority assets.
BBL, also known as Chris Dillon, was monitored more directly by Authority personnel. Evidence suggests that Mr. Dillon has only had one encounter with the anomalous that warranted amnestics, where he received a lower dose than recommended for his weight. Mr. Dillon, to date, has yet to encounter any further anomalous activity according to all Authority reports. Cessation of surveillance currently under review. This example shows that not every threat to the veil requires needless resource expenditure and/or the termination of all non-Authority personnel.
This was the case regarding the site as well, as the forum was not taken down until a year later. By not overtly censoring the website instantly, the information given did not widely proliferate amongst the Veil Rippers. The Authority can not afford to be wasteful. So it is important to remember even if they get something right, you don’t need to have an agent spying on every forum user.
Webcrawlers survey for you, and you respond accordingly.
