The general idea behind this is a line of missiles produced by a regular arms company, that was somehow given anomalous properties, tampered with by some unknown entity. When they were tested by the company, the resulting explosion caused a complete lack of anything (matter, light, sound) to exist within it's space.

Then I think there would be a 'twist' where it's revealed that they're trying to reverse engineer them for their own use.

A lot of this is still just a rough idea so any ideas on polishing it would be appreciated.

I’m just gonna go over ideas I have had for this site but never put into action for a multitude of reasons. Now if anyone reading this wants to make an RPC out of one of these ideas in something way better than I did. Feel free to ask.

Idea 1 “Cup to Another World”: A cup that leads to another dimension. That’s it.

Idea 2 “Safe Haven v6.66”: Heavily inspired by a game called Everlast this would focus on a failed tech upstart on an artificial afterlife where people’s consciousness can be uploaded in forever. Though you will have to pay for higher perks but don’t worry you can still get a job even when you’re dead! It will have been abandoned due to a lack of interest and funds so the people in it are just stuck there.

Idea 3 “Heaven & Hell”: It would be about an abandoned building where the attic and basement are also artificial afterlives but without computers and if you believe in the Abrahamic faiths than you just end up in one of these two depending on certain rules and standards. You basically become a humanoid literally resembling a ghost your former self.

Idea 4 “The Sweet 16”: An original set of Hotwheels Sweet 16 cars in a specialized display case for each one. If they are taken out of the case they drive around the floor depicting real world car accidents. Discussed this a bit with a friend.

Idea 5 “Randomized Haunted House”: An abandoned house in the middle of nowhere where the interior is randomized every 24 hours. One day it could be a colonial barn next it’s a Victorian manor then it’s an Aztec temple. But also it has a randomized spectral entity roaming it also for 24 hours until it just disappears. If anything or any ghosts are taken out of the house it will not disappear. Though you don’t wanna be in there when it becomes midnight.

Feel free to use this idea! I personally feel I would be unable to bring justice to this, as horror isn't my strongsuit (if you havent noticed from my articles)

Essentially my idea is:

A Tunnel of Love darkride that only allows true soulmates to ride it. Any individuals who are not soulmates, matched together by fate itself, are rejected at the mouth of the ride. This rejection comes in the form of crushing the individuals against an unseen barrier as the car passes through the entrance, forcing the restrained riders to be pressed up against and be made into paste that then falls off into the blood red ride water.

Maybe the authority could use RPC-222 to match CSD together to see what's inside. Not sure what it could be, but I imagine it's horrible.

Like I said, feel free to use this idea and go wild with it!

It's an interesting idea, especially in the order that you tell things. Placing the "explanation" at the end is certainly the right idea.

I'm not exactly sold on why this is a Bible chapter or why it's incomprehensible though. Doesn't seem to have much of a link with Deemv himself (unless it's something like, a fake language he pretended to understand or some other cultish thing).

This RPC is an ancient deuterocanonical book in the Old Testament that appears only in a Bible possessed by a small doomsday cult. At first, there is only one chapter of the book, while the others are written in an unknown version of Aramaic. However, as the reader progresses through each chapter they begin to understand the others.

Each chapter starts with the phrase "I Beeth Seth I Beeth Fith Bethoem," and ends with the phrase, "Deemv loth Mev Keht." These are the only phrases that cannot be understood. Since the only way to understand the other chapters is to read the previous one (with the first chapter already being fully understood), the reader must read the opening and closing phrases aloud. People who have read this book report that pronouncing these phrases is extremely difficult.

As the reader continues through the chapters, the story unfolds of the Jewish God, YHWH, sending a tall white humanoid without eyes or a mouth to a construction site where the Jewish people intended to build a pagan temple. YHWH ordered the anomaly to kill anyone within a 10 kilometer radius of the construction site.

The entire book is 51 chapters long, and if it is read by anyone outside of the cult, they will gradually go insane. Within two months, they become bald and pale, their teeth fall out, they become permanently blind, and their appearance comes to resemble that of the anomaly described in the book. They also become extremely violent.

The linguistic agents at the RPC Authority theorize that the name "Deemv" is the name of the anomaly protecting the construction site. After an interview with the cult leaders, the agents learn that the cult claims Deemv was originally a pagan priest who ordered the temple's construction and corrupted many of the Jews with his teachings. According to the cult, YHWH transformed Deemv into the eyeless humanoid and forced him to destroy what he had created.

The cultists also claim that a second book, "The Chronicles of Deemv II," was later removed from their Bible because even they could not safely read it. The book contains 12 chapters and tells of how the transformed Deemv was sent to murder every pagan priest and destroy every pagan temple.

Good Evening,
I have considered making the article smaller in scale, but I don't really know how I would do that. I've also wanted to keep some sort of major consequence from the event, some big challenge the Authority has to confront. I want it to be interesting, an enjoyable read. What makes it distinct from any other article here or on the Foundation website?
I cannot stress enough that I understand what you are saying, I understand that what I am currently planning/writing is a bit too much to chew, that the Authority cannot fix the situation without some excuse, but I prefer that over a nothingburger. I probably ought to just think it over a bit more, making a mountain over a molehill.
If I had to write it smaller, I'd have it go something like:
FBXXX creates the anomaly before February 28th, and the Authority learns of this. From interviews and information from FBXXX members who were captured, the Authority learns that FBXXX wasn't specific enough in defining what will happen, meaning the consequences from my current version will occur on February 28th. The Authority has to revert the anomaly's creation before it activates. Authority is late by a few milliseconds or similar, meaning minor disruptions in moon, satellites, and Earth's orbit. The authority works to fix stuff.
I'll need to think on that a bit more and see if it's interesting enough.

On second reading of your initial draft post it seems like, to be fair, your wording was clearer than I originally thought it to be. Disregard my lengthy disambiguation.

That being said, I feel as though you did not acknowledge my criticism with your premise.
Your enthusiasm to write a well-thought-out story does have my appreciation but again, this is A) too complex for your first article and B) too infeasible to make happen without lifting the veil of the Authority. Let me remind you that we don't have 12 quadrillion dollars and access to the godlike sci-fi technology that you would need to make this work.

It will seriously go a long way for you to make a smaller scale article. This premise is too convoluted and you are jumping through too many hoops to make this article work, needlessly, when you can do something straightforward that the wiki will resonate with more.

Good evening,
Thanks for the critique, I apologize for responding late. The version of Earth freezing in my article is the Earth stopping its heliocentric orbit around the sun. It's not explicitly mentioned in my draft, but the excuse I plan to use as to how the Authority is able to gaslight the world is that the tides being messed up and satellites being destroyed messed with most observatories abilities to do stuff. The anomaly can't be uncontained for too long, however, and I'm currently thinking about how to incorporate the Authority fixing all of this in a quick enough time, but still discovering the full effects of it.

I've come up with an idea of how it would fit into the canon. Linked below is my draft thread, which talks about my planned story more. I plan for the main character to, instead of killing every member of FBXXX, kill the member who messed up in the previous timeline, meaning that the ritual can still continue, and will succeed instead of being messed up. The main character is still executed, but everything returns to normal.

I again apologize for my poor Grammer or spelling, I'm currently busy and writing this before I forget it.
http://rpcauthority.wikidot.com/forum/t-17989107/lonely-earth-after-loss-of-luna

I think this idea is a little too ambitious for a starter article.

More importantly, the rest of the wiki would have to acknowledge and respect it (especially moon and space-related anomalies) unless you ensure it being a temporary event.

You have to be very specific about what you mean by "freeze in its orbit around the sun" because depending on how you pull it off it would have irreversibly disastrous effects.

If Earth froze relative to the galaxy, this idea wouldn't work. The solar system moves around the galaxy at ~220 km/s. In 2 days the spatial discrepancy would be 38 million km, which is a quarter of the Earth's distance to the sun (called AU). Depending on the Earth's exact True anomaly with respect to the Sun at the time of freezing, this change would have vastly different climatological effects. Even worse, there would be a slim chance that the Moon would crash into Earth if it were ahead of it.

If Earth froze relative to the universe, this idea wouldn't work even harder, since the galaxy moves at ~552 km/s with respect to the CMB. This would render for Earth a ~150 million km discrepancy, or ~0.64 AU.

If Earth's True anomaly around the Sun froze, depending on the Moon's position it would fly into the stationary Earth. Otherwise, it would deviate by ~5 million km, 13x the current lunar distance, and forever leave Earth's orbit. After such an event there is no way for the Moon to naturally enter back into Earth's orbit from a heliocentric path. Again, there is a good chance that the Earth and Moon's heliocentric paths would cross and be set up for an inevitable future collision. You would have to write some anomalous repair event that magically teleports the Moon back into its original orbital position and velocity vector about the Earth (and ensure that the decoupling event happens during a period in which the Moon doesn't obliterate Earth in like a few hours.) The end result of that would be that the Earth is 2 days behind on all calendars.

The Authority simply cannot gaslight the Earth's global population into believing that the Earth was always 2 days behind where they expect it to be. Astronomers would notice this discrepancy instantly even if the Authority were to pull off a similarly-although-marginally-more-plausible Herculean task of convincing everyone that the Moon was supposed to do that, during that one time and never again.

All-in-all, you'll have a way better time writing a smaller scale article that doesn't have irreversible catastrophic effects that the entire wiki would have to account for in the future.

An RPC causes the Earth, every year after February 28th, to freeze in its orbit around the sun for 2 days. The first time this happened, the Moon wasn't affected by what caused the earth to freeze, and thus left Earth orbit.

I've gotten the base idea down pat, but I'm still debating where to take the story. On one story path, when the RPC or similar group tries to fix the situation, the earth escapes its orbit around the sun and freezes, with a main character having to face the certainty of death. The second story line is where the RPC deals with trying to convince the world that the Moon didn't just disappear, and involves interviews with the group responsible for creating the RPC and why they created the RPC.

A rough draft is available on my sandbox, linked here: http://rpcsandbox.wikidot.com/crazyy8
I've had the main idea for about 3 years, though i've continually altered the execution as I've written it.

I think you need to ask yourself how this truck has this anomalous ability, as that would give it a constraint to work a backstory on. The types of items can also be tied to a theme to this truck, even if the intention is comedic. And ask yourself what can you play with in concept which enables for interesting experiments; What if the space was occupied when this occurs? Would the surrounding context of the truck affect the items manifested? Is there a hint of intention you can pick up from the choice of items produced according to a specific situation, suggesting the anomaly has more than meets the eye? Etc etc.

If we assume some of the above, you could be transporting this next a protectorate weaponry warehouse and its trunk would explode from generating explosives. Perhaps that's how what neutralizes it, and the article ends in reprimand of the offending officers for overlooking this prospect.

This idea came to me while I am actively moving.

Detailed Pitch: RPC-XXX would be a Peneske-owned 2021 International MV607 (this exact truck) which every morning at precisely 8:59:16 AM will generate 200 pounds of various objects in baseline reality. The objects it produces is entirely random (even amongst the other items surrounding it), and it can be anything. I had some ideas for logs: one of them is the Authority opening it up one day and finding documents about their organization, another produces a live animal. Incident logs like that where it's generally humorous but there's some worrying implications with it.

My main issue with it is that I don't think I can create some sort of story to tie with it, since I really want to tell stories with my pages (even though I don't currently have any). I was given the idea of having a driver that's in some way tied to the truck and have them be a source of story. How do I create a page that's funny and has a good through line attached to it?

This is me spit-balling some In-universe lore ideas that I think would be cool to incorporate in tales and articles. Let me know what you guys think of these ideas, and feel free to use this thread to submit your own ideas for discussion.

MST Mike-42

MST Mike-42

MST Mike-42:

"Reassigned to MST Mike-42" is a euphemism used by Authority personnel for when field operatives and strike teams are lost in action, and their bodies are unrecoverable. It's a lot easier to say, than to acknowledge the truth, which in many cases, due to any number of anomalous effects, might be a fate worse than death.

And who knows, what if the individual pops back up, one day. cold be a lot of paperwork to undo that death certificate…

An Entity that deals in Nesstics

An Entity that deals in Nesstics

An Entity that deals in Nesstics:

My next project is a self contained story, but I plan to add some dialog at the end which contextualizes the information as a correspondence between two agents, with one agent basically saying "Add this to the list of incidents caused by that unknown entity. If we don't figure out who is producing and distributing these Nesstics to the public, we risk more incidents like these happening, or worse, total disillusion."

I would love to make this a shared detail across multiple tales and articles, where this person, or entity, or group is still at large and perhaps people start to remember things that they shouldn't, and that often has some effect on the plot. (or is the inciting incident)

10th man protocol

10th man protocol

10th man protocol:

When dealing with the world of "magic bullshit" anything can happen. For this reason, I don't think every team can just be full of people trained the same way, with the same mentality, because then the mission can fail to something that would effect everyone. It seams prudent to me to send in teams made of individuals with wildly different skillsets, beliefs, priorities, mentalities, etc. This would be great for character based stories too.

Psychers

Psychers

Psychers:

Clue me in if I'm missing something already in cannon, but I think the Authority should be actively looking for, recruiting, and attempting to weaponize individuals who demonstrate low level anomalous abilities. like not just stick them in a box and study them all day, but take the guy who knows what number you are thinking of, pump him full of experimental substances and attach him to an MST to see if that ups the survival rate. Maybe they can have their own designation class separate from CSD?

The anomaly creates a Lower caste and upper caste, lower caste is an Anarcho-primitivism society newly brought into the anomaly by its memetic draw. They are made to live in fear outside of the anomaly until they can ascend to the high caste, boats chained to the legs if its moving in the ocean. High caste all maintain the leviathan and are fanatic tradesmen and engineers.

When encountering a ship people will jump from the ship in fear, the ships get incorporated into the superstructure while the people join the low caste.

Oil platform becomes animate, collects the metal of other oil platforms and those of shipwreck in the bottom of the ocean, eventually gaining enough height to be a kilometer tall entity above the sea sea surface with only the head intact and what's left of the oil platform's form. Has memetic effect where it causes those who are within visual or auditory range to call upon everyone to climb it, in an irrational fear of the sea level covering the planet whole. This memetic can also be propagated through digital media, but must be a live feed to illicit the effect.

Compiles a population of 337, largely from Indonesia, to inhabit it. They re-establish the micro-culture of their home Island albeit a pale imitation of it (elaborate in description through expedition log). The populace frantically maintain the structure to prevent it from imploding into the ocean from its continuous expansion. Authority sends in a protectorate field team to interview then apprehend them. Protection team are quickly surrounded, after multiple casualties and deaths, and remove their anti-memetic protective gear; Exposing them to the memetic effect and providing the anomaly with a military arm. Due to this event, this society has lost much of its populace and maintenance of the anomaly becomes infeasible. Regardless they carry the task on. This goes on till it is predicted it will reach a breaking point in less than 8 years.

Registered Phenomenon code: XXX

Object Class: Beta-Red

Hazard Types: contact hazard, toxic hazard, mechanical, corrosive hazard.

Containment procedures: RPC-XXX is to be contained in a 7x7x7m room at site -██ with reinforced 20 inch thick concrete walls supported with rebar. The floor on the containment chamber is to be installed from 50mm thick Steel floor plates which is to be replaced every 4 months due to gradual Breakdown, rust and corrosion and is to Not be in human contact after the safety line painted in the containment zone.

Interactions with RPC-xxx is strictly forbidden. Procedures to replace the containment walls are conducted using highly resistant heavy machinery to lift the walls and replace new ones in its place. During the installation of new walls and supports the machinery is to be monitored closely to avoid damage.

The story involves a test subject being directed to RPC-XXX containment chamber to conduct a weekly cell test to ensure no damage to a robotic line painter that paints a danger zone line that could have exposed circuits or corrosive damage. on approach to the test there seems to be no damage to the line painter but after the test has been conducted and the test subjects is directed back to the cell entrance is when it goes wrong.

Addendum-xxx: safety equipment like Respirators have been seen to work for a short period of time before the wearers lungs become irritated. there is research to find the specific type of safety equipment that works indefinitely.
