Description: MST Tango-12 is a clandestine task force embedded in both domestic and foreign intelligence services of national governments, specializing in surveillance and clandestine operations against entities of interests to the Authority.

MST Tango-12 operatives are procured from the Operative Indoctrination Program administered by the Authority Central Intelligence, as well as from targeted recruitment efforts on existing foreign intelligence officers. MST Tango-12 coordinates its activities with the ACI's Intelligence Department, securing objectives that require direct-action from embedded operatives within a target nation.

Unlike the ACI's Operations Department, MST Tango-12 operatives do not conceal themselves from other Authority personnel, and frequently collaborate with additional mobile specialized teams in containment and retrieval missions. Geopolitical activities conducted by foreign agencies of interest facilitated the necessity of developing a specialized task-force that could perform covert operations internationally, while also leveraging resources available from their direct affiliation with the Authority.

The Board of Global Directors unanimously agreed to establish MST Tango-12 on 08/20/1953.

Assignment: Secure allegiances between the Authority and Chushi Gangdruk¹ while assisting their efforts against the PLA Special Directorate occupation of Tibet.

Summary: Gyalo Thondup, the brother of RPC-████, had begun collaborating with the CIA Special Activities Division²: Unit 9 'Pantheocide' to support a resistance movement against Communist China's occupation of Tibet. In response to anomalous weapons being utilized by the People's Liberation Army Special Directorate³ on non-military targets, SAD Unit-9 began to strategically support the Chushi Gangdruk organization.

MST Tango-12 was directed to initiate a separate Authority-backed covert insurgency in Tibet to combat the Special Directorate, and establish connections with leaders of the resistance movement in order to contain Pantheocide's influence in anomalous affairs. Operatives began training rebel fighters in irregular warfare and counter-anomalous tactics while supplying modern weaponry and battlefield technology sourced from Authority weapon depots. Successful reconnaissance and targeting missions were initiated against known Special Directorate government officials and supply convoys.

After a failed abduction attempt by Special Directorate agents, RPC-████ was evacuated from Tibet on March 17, 1959, and brought to a secure facility in India. In 1972, US President Richard Nixon's decision to withdraw CIA support from Tibet resulted in the Authority becoming the sole benefactor of the resistance movement. As Chushi Gangdruk experienced further setbacks on the battlefield, a decision was made to transition the organization underground to prepare for a long-term resistance strategy against anti-Authority agencies of interest in China.

Assignment: Apprehend all members of the leadership council for the anomalous religious organization known as Blue Star.

Summary: Following the assassination of Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, MST Tango-12 was mobilized under the command of Authority Central Intelligence to track down and detain all leaders of the Jewish GoI sect Blue Star. Intelligence reports suggested the group's leadership council, called the Restored Sanhedrin, were behind the assassination after opposing Rabin's signing of the Oslo Accords that granted recognition to the Palestinian Authority.

MST Tango-12 apprehended 120 members of the organization, utilizing implanted operatives across several Middle Eastern countries. The operation was hailed as one of the most successful in the Authority's history against a known GoI; no casualties were sustained by any MST operative during the raids, and several RPCs in possession of the group were subsequently acquired. After extensive interrogations, it was determined that Blue Star did not officially sanction the attack.

However, it was discovered that several Blue Star members of the conservative and orthodox persuasion had connections to Jewish fundamentalist political parties in Israel, including those created by former Blue Star councilmember Meir Kahane. In the aftermath of the operation, Blue Star's Karaite⁴ High Priest, Simeon ben Abraham, began purging the group's membership of Israeli ultranationalists, issuing an internal memo condemning "those who would put the secular state of Ben-Gurion before our creator Adonai."

After Action Statement

Relations between Blue Star and the Authority were tested greatly from these intelligence errors, yet had we not acted in time, it is likely Blue Star would have continued to be unaware of the radicalization taking place among its members.

Assignment: Eliminate Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro in order to install a pro-Authority government led by National Assembly Deputy Juan Guaidó.⁵

Summary: MST Tango-12 was ordered to deploy two DJI M600 drones attached with C4 charges at a military rally at the capital of Venezuela, Caracas, where President Maduro would present a speech before the National Guard. An hour into the ceremony, the first drone was activated and directed toward the stage platform where Maduro and several other high-ranking members of the government were situated.

User operation error resulted in the first drone exploding prematurely, injuring several unaffiliated soldiers on the ground with shrapnel. The second drone was immediately deployed, but an unknown technical glitch with the steering controls forced the drone to crash into the side of a building, causing a detonation on impact with the ground.
