Whistleblowers from NuCorps Experimental Advancement Programs had contacted the Authority through the intrusion of a secure Authority back channel, its encryption broken by unknown means. Their testimony details a damning coverup and erasure of an experiment by "Oxworks" of NuCorp, conducted without Authority approval, record keeping, or information sharing. These experiments detailed the effects of 2-way real time communication between 2 individuals in Oniritryptin induced lucid dreaming. Testimony revealed breakthroughs in the fields of sapient consciousness and anomalous communication, before an abrupt research destruction and amnestic order was issued by NuCorp upper management to the research group.
All whistleblowers claimed they were immune to the amnestic treatment due to the tangential effects of the sleep experiments, and additionally refused sleep while in Authority custody. Initial questioning on their reasoning and amnestic immunity yielded no answers. 2 days after detainment of the whistleblowers, all 11 researchers vanished without a trace while residing within an Authority Confidential Informant holding facility.
