This rumor comes from a potentially unreliable source, so take all information with a grain of salt: Nucorp maintains an unknowable number of corporate branches in an untrackable number of universes. One of those universes is, or was, "ALTR-XL22." Discovered on 6/12/1976, initial monitoring concerned a nexus event between the RCPA Reality and theirs. To Research's surprise, the engagement ended after 20 days; the rift somehow closed on the defending timeline's side following a high-yield energy transfer flaring into the RCPA timeline.
