Registered Phenomena Code: CN-058

Object Class: Beta-Yellow

Hazard Types: Psychotronic Hazard, Transmutation Hazard, Contact Hazard, Teleportation Hazard, Mind-Control Hazard, Regenerative Hazard

Containment Protocols: RPC-CN-058 is currently stored in a small anomalous storage locker in the Beta containment area of Site-CN-006. Experiments on RPC-CN-058 must be approved by the site Director of Research and Development or the Project Research Lead, Dr. Juliansk. When relocating RPC-CN-058, personnel should avoid any direct physical contact with the anomaly. If the anomalous properties are unintentionally activated, the victim's mobility should be promptly restricted to prevent unnecessary personnel losses.

Description: RPC-CN-058 is a rectangular hollow cardboard box made of corrugated cardboard, with dimensions of 29 cm × 29 cm × 4.5 cm, a size consistant with standard packaging for a 28 cm (11-inch) pizza. Its anomalous property causes its total mass to fluctuate around 580 g; before the anomalous effect is triggered, its empty weight is 92 g. The material properties of RPC-CN-058 do not correspond to those of standard corrugated cardboard, and any attempt to dismantle, cut, or incinerate it at high temperatures to destroy its physical structure have been unsuccessful. The top surface of RPC-CN-058 is decorated with blue and red patterns, and it is affixed with a printed paper attached with tape, bearing the Gothic script "Ex Nihilo Nihil Fit"1.

Direct human observation of RPC-CN-058 causes a pizza (designated RPC-CN-058-A) to spontaneously manifest inside the anomaly. The pizza's crust, cheese, and toppings adjust according to the personal preferences of the observer. It has been reported that the majority of obserevers detect food-like aromas emitted by the anomaly. Any physical contact by personnel (designated RPC-CN-058-B) with RPC-CN-058 induces an irresistible compulsion to consume RPC-CN-058-A2. Due to the anomalous effect, the presence of adrenaline, endorphins, and dopamine significantly surpassing reference values can be detected in RPC-CN-058-B's blood during the consumption process, making them insensitive to pain and resistant to shock from various causes3, enabling them to continue their activity. In multiple trials, arm fractures and upper limb arterial bleeding have failed to effectively stop the subjects' eating behavior. RPC-CN-058-B exhibits strong resistance to attempts to prevent their consumption and, in some cases, shows hostility and aggressive behavior towards such attempts.

RPC-CN-058-A exhibits regenerative properties, with the slices consumed by RPC-CN-058-B being replenished as the latter chews and swallows. The replenished slices gradually decrease in doneness as the amount consumed increases. The dough ingredients transition from the typical flour, sugar, and oil used in regular pizzas to a mixture containing animal protein, glycogen, and lipids. The toppings also undergo significant alterations, including the misture of ham slices with raw meat slices, seafood replaced by offal, cheese infused with acidic liquid, and tomato sauce substituted with gelatinous blood. As the consumption process continues, the proportion of "substitutes" increases, ultimately resulting in the RPC-CN-058-A being composed almost entirely of substances that are unpalatable to the average individual. Despite RPC-CN-058-A gradually becoming bloody and nauseating4in appearance, RPC-CN-058-B does not cease consumption; rather, they accelerate their eating rate to the maximum extent possible. A very small number of subjects reported experiencing a "desperately hungry" mindset after the experiment. When RPC-CN-058-B ceases consumption for any reason for a period5, the anomalous effects of RPC-CN-058 disappear.

The anomalous effects of RPC-CN-058 mostly end in the death of RPC-CN-058-B. However, contrary to initial hypotheses by the research team, the most common causes of death are not gastric perforation or gastric bleeding, but rather internal bleeding, psychogenic shock, and pneumothorax. Experiments have shown that, during a complete manifestation of RPC-CN-058's anomalous effects, the total mass of RPC-CN-058-A and RPC-CN-058-B remains constant.
