Registered Phenomena Code: 712
Object Class: Alpha-Red
Hazards: Transmutation Hazard, Destabilization Hazard, Ideological Hazard
Containment Protocols: RPC-712 is currently contained within a Standard Alpha-Container in Site-112’s Alpha-Wing Sector. Following several incidents regarding RPC-712’s info-hazardous effects, as well as several breaches of containment, no personnel are to use RPC-712 more than four times. ASF personnel guarding RPC-712 are to be rotated out every two weeks in fear of leaking info-hazardous effects.
The lever system that activates RPC-712 has been secured with a digital padlock requiring a five-digit access code. Personnel that desire to test with RPC-712 must get approval from Site-112’s Director, as well as the required combination. Personnel found attempting to break RPC-712’s padlock will be transferred out from Site-112.
Photo of RPC-712 taken during initial discovery
Description: RPC-712 is a blue branded KIM-2 Soviet cash register from the 1970s. Despite its age, RPC-712 is in pristine condition; all buttons and the left-lever are completely functional, able to work as a standard cashier machine.
The original owner of RPC-712, or its previous uses, remains unknown to the Authority. The only distinguishing markings within RPC-712 are the words “Faddei” scraped on its bottom surface. The place of discovery of RPC-712, an abandoned shop in Astrakhan, Russia, had no records of ownership of any individuals under that name.
The main property of RPC-712 is its ability to change the chemical and physical composition of all items in a certain area with diverse results given the input currently introduced within the cashier’s display:
- This space designates the distance from RPC-712 in which items will be affected. The distance can range from 1 to 9 meters.
- This space designated the number of objects RPC-712 will affect within the area. Can range from 1 to 9 objects.
- This space designated the size of objects it will affect. No clear metrics have been found yet, but commonly range from small animals and insects to objects of five or more meters in size.
- This space designates the “safe” area around RPC-712 following activation; anything and anyone within this area will not be affected by its properties. Can range from 1 to 9 meters.
- The lever on the right-side of RPC-712 is needed to run the displayed effects of RPC-712. Once pulled, the effects will instantly occur and all numbers will return to 0.
A combination of sentient and non-sentient objects/organisms will result in X amount of lesser sentient products. Sentient and sapient will result in X amount of highly intelligent sentient products. Sapient and non-sentient will result in anomalously animated targets with varying levels of intelligence.

MATERIALS:
- RPC-712
- Junior Researcher Carmeron
- One Wooden Bust of Site-112’s Director (30cm)
- One Steel Cube (2m2)
--------------------
PROCEDURE/PURPOSE:
Transmutation of organic and inorganic objects with RPC-712.
Junior Researcher Cameron will be given RPC-712 with the combination 3-2-2-1 and made to stand two meters away from both objects. He is to then pull the lever.
OBSERVATIONS:
Following activation, both items began shining at an intensity of 2000 lumens for two seconds before the light dissipated. The products were then able to be discerned:
- One 30cm stainless steel bust of Site-112’s Director. Most facial features originally found within the original bust were missing or smoothed out.
- One 2m2 wooden cube with the exact facial features of Site-112’s Director spread across its four sides.
Junior Researcher Cameron proclaimed that the use of RPC-712 felt satisfying and rewarding. He claimed that the new products were superior versions of the original ones. In addition, Site-112’s Director has requested to keep the wooden cube produced during testing for display in his office.
Further testing into the applications of RPC-712 in the manufacturing sector will be needed. Current theories hypothesize that RPC-712 may be able to give an item’s natural properties (such as conductivity) to ones that do not possess it. This property may also be able to be utilized in the development of tailored containment material.
MATERIALS:
- RPC-712
- Junior Researcher Carmeron
- One Black Canis lupus familiaris
- One Baseball
- One Pumpkin
--------------------
PROCEDURE/PURPOSE:
Transmutation of sentient, inorganic and inorganic objects with RPC-712.
Junior Researcher Cameron will be given RPC-712 with the combination 4-2-3-1 and made to stand in the center of all three targets. Both the baseball and pumpkin are two meters away from Cameron, and the poodle has been told to sit three meters away.
OBSERVATIONS:
Following activation, all three targets began shining at an intensity of 2000 lumens for two seconds before the light dissipated (during this time, the poodle began to bark). The products were then able to be discerned:
- One (1) living organism resembling a baseball with black canine hair and extremities. The organism was found to be capable of all functions necessary to life, but tested to have low levels of intelligence compared to a common dog, having difficulty maintaining balance.
- One (1) dog-shaped baseball of orange color
- One (1) pumpkin whose skin had the same texture of leather. Opening this pumpkin displayed several organs and tissue similar to the ones found within dogs. However, this object showed no signs of life.
The living organism produced during testing showed great affection towards Junior Researcher Cameron. Cameron has requested to keep the dog-shaped baseball: request accepted. His general joy towards the use of RPC-712 has increased, and research into its use as a therapeutic treatment is underway.
Further testing into the creation of artificial beings with the use of RPC-712 is required. However, this test has demonstrated that RPC-712 cannot be reliably utilized as a defense mechanism, as it will only affect the material composition of the affected target, possibly making it more dangerous (although not in the case of Ball).

An anomalous Ideological-Hazard was discovered in RPC-712 following testing between sapient and inorganic targets (two CSD personnel and several pieces of copper). This resulted in the following incident being caused by Junior Researcher Cameron that injured several personnel and cost the Authority millions in damages.
08:21 AM: Junior Researcher Cameron is seen standing between all three targets, he is visibly excited. Both CSDs are currently sitting on the floor.
08:22 AM: Cameron pulls RPC-712’s lever and all three targets begin to glow for two seconds. Following the light’s dissipation a variety of objects can be seen:
- Small pieces of meat on the place where the copper was
- Two animated copper constructs in the shape of humans.
08:24 AM: Cameron can be seen looking at both constructs and RPC-712 highly perplexed before smiling. He then points towards the door of the testing room and yells “Break it” on Russian. Both constructs began tearing the door apart before running into the halls of Site-112 alongside Cameron.
08:28 AM: The alarm is set off in the testing room alerting ASF units of a Freebird event in Sector-B. Cameras capture Cameron rambling in Russian while activating RPC-712 at random combinations and intervals as he runs across the hallways. Site-112 infrastructure begins taking severe damage as a result, as well as hurting multiple personnel caught in the area of effect.
08:30 AM: Several effects across the site occur as a result of Cameron’s actions. A list of them can be found here:
- The hallway’s walls begin to fuse with one another and with the material within them (pipes, cables, steel). This causes heavy streams of pressurized water meant for the containment of RPC-███ to shoot out from them.
- The combination of several identical items occurs. The first time this phenomenon is observed; the items targeted appear to become perfect copies of one another should they have possessed any unique features.
- Personnel caught in the area of effect have parts of their limbs transmuted into mixes of metal, concrete and plastic. Despite being mainly inorganic formations, personnel seem to still be capable of controlling them
- One personnel is caught directly in the middle of the area of effect and the hallway: parts of the ceiling and floor obtain a flesh-like texture, while a new construct made from diverse building materials is formed, which joins Cameron.
08:40 AM: Cameron encounters a group of ASF units on the other side of the hallway. ASF units point non-lethal weaponry at him, ordering surrender. Cameron begins running across the hallways while activating RPC-712, managing to defend himself against most projectiles.
08:40 AM: Animated constructs appear to grab all nearby items they can obtain to throw in the way of Cameron. This allows for an easier time when attempting to fuse nearby items. As this happens, constructs gain more mass.
08:41 AM: ASF units retreat as the animated constructs block the way of fire, quickly being regenerated and expanded by the effects of continuous RPC-712 usage. Despite this, one ASF unit is able to shoot Cameron in the leg, immobilizing him.
08:43 AM: Before Cameron can input a new set of numbers, an ASF unit shoots RPC-712 away from him. This causes all constructs to cease movement as well as knocking Cameron unconscious. All previously hostile targets are taken into custody.
Personnel Injured:
- Miscellaneous Personnel:
- Two (2) OAS Researchers and Three (3) Prolab Engineers
- Various limbs and segments of personnel have been fused with a variety of materials. A complete list can be found in the next segment.
- One (1) Junior Research Assistant
- Terminated following usage of RPC-712 within a hallway. Ceiling and floor pieces have been removed for burial purposes
- Assets Compromised:
- Entire Sector-B’s Hallway
- Including basic infrastructure, nearly resulting in building collapse
- Site-112’s Water Pipes
- Multiple types of furniture
- Sector-AX’s Pot Tree
- Botany personnel have requested immediate reparation of the pot plant
AFFECTED PERSONNEL - MEDICAL REPORT |
PATIENT/STATUS:
Dr. Jeffrey O'Donnell
Patient’s left arm has been replaced by a mixture of material previously belonging to Sector-B’s hallway. This includes concrete, copper wires, pipes, etc. Despite their inorganic making, Dr. O’Donnell appears to be fully capable of operating his new extremity
--------------------
TREATMENT:
X-Ray exams and biopsy (operated with drills in cooperation with engineer personnel). A number of interesting facts have been discovered in relationship to RPC-712’s capability to mold inorganic matter:
- Small metal pipes across Dr. O’Donnell’s arms were found to be carrying blood after an accidental puncture. The puncture was successfully stopped with the use of a gas torch.
- Miniature threads of copper were found to deliver electric currents from organic nerves to the rest of the transmuted arms and into internal outlets connected to metal beams.
Metals beams and rods were found to accomplish the same function of bones and muscles. These were constantly lubricated by a mixture of blood and several antioxidant chemicals produced within the arm.
TREATMENT:
As a result of its functionality and non-hazardous nature, Dr. O’Donnell has agreed to keep the transmuted arm for further testing. Dr. O’Donnell has been given a can of polyethylene membrane to protect the concrete making up most of its arm.
As a result of the peculiar effects RPC-712 has over limbs, as well as their apparent functionality, join research with Containment’s Biomechanical Module for its utilization as a plausible prosthetic/first-aid treatment is currently under review by Site-112’s Administration.
The remaining constructs acquired following the incident are commandable by any individual currently carrying RPC-712, but are otherwise immobile. They have been placed in Site-112’s storage alongside RPC-712. Containment protocols have been properly updated.
