Because the globe hasn't been destroyed yet. The earth and the globe are linked, so whatever happens to the earth, happens to the globe and vice versa.
Since the globe itself has not been destroyed, then by extension, neither has the world.
Though granted, I might not have explained that properly. And maybe I overdid with the damage the entity could do.
Anyway, thanks for the feedback, I'm really curious as to what went wrong with this one.
The previous edition of this article without the mention to a sad attempt at a GOI shoehorned in was better. Sad.
Wasn't aware that the article had been changed. I've added a discovery section to better explain its connection to the GOI mentioned.
If I could ask: what about the article made you give the rating you did? Aside from the poor insertion of the GOI
Addendum 2 makes a casual remark about termination, this makes the Authority look like irritable, jumpy asses who will try to terminate first before reviewing an incident. Addendum 3 has past tense issues which should be edited for a better read.
Also user Moennenbys states they PMd you before applying edits, so you should have been aware of them. Reading the version just before adding that sloppy mention to a failure of a GOI, I could see you had a very good article here. The mention besides being sloppy just comes out of the blue and just makes for a sad attempt at grasping for something to bring this GOI to life, sorry.
Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, looking at addendum 3, it does read pretty poorly, its been updated to read far better.
In regards to Moen PMing me, he did. I was just not informed that a change had been made to the article itself, though I should have expected it to have been changed.

I remember reading this article after it was posted, I didn't vote then because i thought there was more to add to it, and as others have already stated linking it to such a GOI makes it a waste. You should really get rid of that mention and stay with your prolific entry as it is.
Honestly, globes/maps that affect the real world are a very played out idea. No one writes them because it's what everyone thinks of. I've thought of it, you've thought of it, we've all thought of it. So the gimmick is gone for me.
But honestly, this is well written. And I appreciate the fact that the Authority learn from their "mistakes" in testing. And I guess since you're the first person to do this on the site, you can win first place.
I'd give this a 3.5 stars, but since the garbage reference to The Outsiders was removed, it's a 4.

The idea for this article is uninspired at best, but its executed pretty well. While I am normally execution over concept, the concept of this is so generic that I can't get into it.

Shouldn’t the earth always be 20 Celsius because it’s always kept in a 20 Celsius room. And why does it say moon out of view in the picture if there’s no mention of a moon in the description. Whatever nigga 3 stars
