The post title sums up my opinions pretty well. It's yet another mediocre concept with mediocre execution and subpar proofreading.
Maybe that's a little too harsh, though only by a microscopic amount. There are some good parts. There is a progression of some kind, even if it's a pretty played-out progression. It's notable for an article of this age and caliber to imagine a plot besides "it breached containment and killed people", so I'll give it that. Additionally, it's kind of funny. For what it's worth, it's funnier than any of Blairin's actual -J articles.
In the grand scheme of things, though, it's just another dull, canon-fodder early article, of which the database has many. It doesn't trigger any strong emotions, and none of the events are meaningful enough to feel right or wrong. The ending is kind of odd, what with how they just let a guy starve to death.
This article has the formatting issue of… inconsistent line heights!? Well, that's a new one. And those hazard types are a lot to take in…
I think this article, like RPC-002, could be made into a great and iconic piece with the help of a good rewrite. The concepts are there, and imagining an agent chomping down on an anomalous granola bar as a last resort is greatly amusing to me. Interesting ideas are really all this has, though. Probably a 1.5, but we all know how it goes here. 1/5
(I feel this review may be comparatively uninsightful, but I'm glad to get it off my to-do list for now.)
