While I certainly support these changes, I have some inquiries about the new system.
Firstly, how will articles be deleted? Will it be through having a low enough rating? If so, where is the line drawn?
Secondly, one of the merits of the old system was that the "default" state was 0, which meant that by not voting, you are still contributing to the poll. However, the current system requires people to actually vote to contribute to the poll, which means that people who think that an article was mediocre might not have their voices heard, while only those with strong opinions will do so.
Thirdly, what should each star mean? Is "3" the novote? Or is it something else?
I believe that a "tutorial" on the rating system could be implemented in the registration page in order to teach people how to use this system properly.
