This one has a very original SCP vibe to it that I find to my liking, what a pity it is below 4 stars at the moment. I wouldn't want to see it go…
I like the idea of a cramped space RPC. Something to make you think "Dang, I do not wanna go in there" yet it somewhat temps you in. Simple yet completely terrifying, I like it.
The exploration log is alright, though I don't understand the reason for the detail of the water flowing wrong. It would be interesting to frame the tunnel as a lure for the monster rather than just a place.
The description is lacking. A "small concrete structure" tells me nothing about its appearance or anything at all. Does it look like a normal structure? Is it unusual in any other way? Maybe it doesn't look like anything common to the area? These things should be elaborated upon.
I've had nice things to say about these SCP-087-style articles before, but at this point it feels tired for me. This is also a very uninventive application of the trope. It's a dark hole in the ground, you go down, you see some weird stuff, and then a monster eats you and you die painfully.
The extreme claustrophobia being invoked here is perhaps a little distinct, but really nothing distracted me from how played-out this one is. Even though it's a format I can be rather fond of, it seems these SCP-087 clones were really a dime a dozen. I wouldn't even recommend this for a rewrite, because there's no reason to want this any more than RPC-108 or god forbid something actually somewhat imaginative like RPC-073.
2/5 for mild competence.
This place makes me feel like I’m a little kid again. Before I went to jail, y’know?
"You know how I'm a CSD, right? I used to be a kid and then I went to jail and now I'm here. I just want to establish to the audience that I'm a CSD and this is my character."
