'Fraternity of the Five Wounds'
The Fraternity of the Five Wounds, referring to the five wounds of Christ on the cross, is a non-denominational Christian group originally founded in 1567 localised around the Cambridge college of Westminster, by a group of ten students and faculty from various Cambridge colleges.
The goal of the Fraternity is the accomplishment of various Christian goals, worldwide. From the establishment and funding of orthodox missionary groups and missions to influencing political systems towards Christian values. The Fraternity has a history of utilising anomalous artefacts to accomplish certain goals.
As of now, the Fraternity has expanded its web of members to a global scale. Recruiting solely from the highest class of universities, from the same fields as its founding members: theology, archaeology, philosophy; but also fields seemingly un-related such as theoretical physics, engineering, and biology. It is understood that the Fraternity has a network of over three thousand members.
While on the face of it the Fraternity would seem weak; it is far from it. The members were deeply embedded in British society in the Sixteenth century and from there deeply embedded in the society of the majority of the Earth in the coming centuries. Their modus operandi is to use bureaucracy and powerful names to disrupt activities and then swoop in utilising out-sourced muscle to obtain anything they need procuring.
It is unknown what exact assets the Fraternity currently possess, but it is known they maintain a large collection of anomalous and non-anomalous objects that they deem useful to their cause.
