I love the idea to have this markers to specify diferent tipes of hazards, but it definitively needs more development, maybe explaining the meaning behind each simbol. no-vote for now.
I'd love to see these symbols integrated into the RPC articles in some way. There should probably be a symbol for corrosive as well.
I agree. I'd love to see these symbols in the articles themselves. perhaps before or after the body of the article itself.
there are a huge amount more that need to be made (memetic hazard, memory alteration, among others) but I love the ones made so far
Can we implement these into the tags?
I pronounce "pineapples" like I do "Minneapolis."
I would like to suggest the addition of a new hazard type under Anomalous Properties: "Supernatural Hazard", for anomalies whose origins are based in human mythology and superstition, and require the knowledge of how these anomalies work (e.g. RPC-315's pot of gold being his weakness) and/or the implementation of traditional rituals derived from folklore to aid in effective containment.
Think of certain yokai, ghosts, or RPC-211 (Nordic Unfinished God-Empress), or even the aforementioned murderous leprechaun.
For the icon I'd think to use iconography of various religions, like the Shimenawa (sacred shinto ropes) in front of the Wadjet eye overlaid atop the Norse Vegvisir (this should be fine since it's not the Valknut or Web of Wyrd). That description's just a suggestion, it could go any way.
I love these! they give off a sort of "Aperture Science" vibe, which will help separate us from the MIB vibe of the SCP Foundation tremendously. I'll definitely use these in all of my articles.
Although, perhaps you could add a new tab with instructions on how to use these symbols in our own articles?
Hey, is there a hazard for things that bend the laws of space? Like, teleportation, pinching space, etc? I'm looking for a hazard that teleports people.
I think Anti-Physical is what you're looking for.
blabbo
ok, so then what's the one for things that cannot be physically interacted with, whether it be incorporeal, ethereal, or otherwise intangible in nature?
You do know that there is an incorporeal hazard right? All anti-physical means is that the anomaly doesn’t follow the standard laws of physics. And if someone explains it just right then ghosts could theoretically follow the standard laws of physics.
