My honest first impression was that this would be a boring anomaly with a simple effect and redundant logs, but the description gave me a genuine dread for what was coming up. There's a personal uncanniness about the brain fog triggered in the first phase that emboldens this admittedly-tired concept. The logs themselves actually weren't that special, but the way they're transcribed is fairly clever, especially juxtaposed with the saccharine excerpt. I'd prefer if the article had more meaning than this; it's really just a "thing that kills you," but it's pretty good given that.
