Containment Protocols: Instances of RPC-XXX are to be stored within a standard airtight pathogenic containment vial, subsequently placed within quarantined containment unit composed of not less than two (2) inches of steel, locked with a 20 digit code and double-lock system requiring simultaneous key turns from Level 3 personnel. At all times, no less than ten (10) guards armed with pistols and flamethrowers must protect against unauthorized entry to the containment unit without express permission for testing.

Instances of RPC-XXX-1 are to be contained within a standard Quarantined Containment Unit, outfitted with emergency incineration mechanisms for use in the event of a containment breach. No instance of RPC-XXX-1 may be utilized for testing for a period of greater than seven (7) days. At the end of testing, all instances of RPC-XXX-1 must be terminated and their remains incinerated.

In the event of a containment breach, all relevant personnel are to be quarantined for a period of one (1) month, following which they shall be evaluated for exposure via interrogation. Affected personnel are to be treated as instances of RPC-XXX-1.

Following Incident 5R, Authority assets within civillian and governmental organizations are to monitor for any suspected RPC-XXX instances. Should a suspected instance be found, quarantine procedures shall be enacted and further evaluation done to determine necessary action to prevent further outbreak.

Description: RPC-XXX is a thaumaturgic pathogen in the physical form of an anomalous virus. Upon being infected with the virus, no effect will manifest until an incubation period of one (1) week has passed. After this time, SCP-XXX will develop a tumor-like growth on its brain stem.

When this growth has manifested, SCP-XXX-1 becomes unable to communicate with any method about a specific topic, whether by speech, writing, typing, sign language or other means. This topic is determined by the variant of RPC-XXX it is exposed to. There are currently four (4) known variants of RPC-XXX, with development of a fifth ongoing. (Development terminated, see Incident 5R.) Attempting to remove this growth from an instance of RPC-XXX-1 invariably results in brain death.

D-XXX-052 was infected with RPC-XXX-V1 and provided with reading material related to the assassination of Julius Caesar. Subsequently, Agent █████ interrogated D-XXX-052 as to its knowledge. D-XXX-052 gave no meaningful replies, even when subjected to enhanced interrogation techniques.

D-XXX-129 infected with RPC-XXX-V1 and provided with reading material related to the assassination of John F. Kennedy. Prior to testing, D-XXX-V1 was injected with Substance Veritas. Subsequently, Agent █████ interrogated D-XXX-129 as to its knowledge. D-XXX-V1 attempted to respond, but began expelling foam from its mouth and blood from its tear ducts. Within 34 seconds, the subject was terminated.

It is clear that a group has developed RPC-XXX for the sake of silencing any leaks regarding themselves or their operations. While, as of yet, our thaumaturgic knowledge is limited, I believe it would be of great interest to the Authority if we were to develop our own variant. We already have to deal with occasional information breaches, this could be a worthwhile endeavor. - Researcher ██████████

Following the approval of her request Researcher ██████████ lead development of a fifth variant of RPC-XXX, henceforth known as RPC-XXX-V5. This variant was intended to be introduced into expendable personnel, retired personnel and sleeper agents within various agencies. Furthermore, control functions would be keyed into later variants, allowing restrictions to be modified or the subject terminated at will.

While initially successful, upon introduction of Thaumaturgic Function Eschaton, RPC-XXX-V5 defeated all implemented quarantine protocols. Its contagious nature quickly infected all Site-███ staff in spite of extensive practical and thaumaturgic quarantine protocols. Following containment by ASF-Epsilon, personnel were evaluated. RPC-XXX-V5 had rendered them unable to communicate in any fashion. All attempts at mitigating or removing the effects failed and the decision was made to terminate affected personnel and incinerate all potentially contaminated material.
