Hey, I am the original writer for RPC-565 and I'd like to announce that the article will be receiving an official rewrite once "Kettle's Purple-palmed Wallabies" is published. Let's all be honest here, that discovery completely ruined and bombed that article. It was terribly written, the dialogue was odd, and it was the main problem in general.

So here are the things that will change in the rewrite:

• Containment Protocols (Complete overhaul)
• Description (Minor additions)
• Discovery (Complete overhaul)
• Test Logs (Minor edit)
• Object Class + Hazards (Minor edit)

Everything else not mentioned above will remain the same.

But there is an issue, I had a mental breakdown directly after 565's original publish which resulted one of the admins to lock the page so I wont delete it again. So I humbly request one of the admins to unlock it so I can implement the changes when the time comes.

As staff, I have unlocked the page for RPC-565, and you can edit it as you wish.

As a writer, I can assure you that nobody cares. Despite having criticized the draft of 565 and reviewed the final product, I have had zero thoughts about this supposedly ruinous section, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't even the main factor influencing my rating. Most readers aren't critical enough to tell the difference between this "terrible" discovery and whatever you plan to put out after you're done anyway.

I believe that in order to be an artist, you need a concept of when something is complete. If you're still going back and rewriting portions that no longer please you, was the work ever really finished? You won't always be able to rewrite history, and being able to accept the past for its flaws is a healthier skill than frantically resetting things. The only kind of tower that you build by pulling out and replacing bricks is a Jenga tower.

If you still think the article needs changes that badly, you can push minor tonal and content edits to the page. Plenty of authors have done this without telling anybody, as it is not worth making a big deal out of. You might be surprised by the difference that subtle changes can make.
