Thought of some stuff that DoubleDenial said, and I’m gonna try a smaller article.

A regular-old, spiral notebook that influences any person writing in it to describe the past 24 hours in the form of a screenplay.

The main hook would be a testing log that reveals a very well respected scientist framed an RPC for a murder he committed.

Is this enough to start up a new draft?

Not crazy about the spiral notebook idea, but the second part isn't bad and could potentially be enough to make the whole thing interesting. At the very least, I think it's something I'd like to see an expanded version of.
