What a treat. Really cool. Have you heard of the TTRPG World of Darkness, specifically Hunter: The Reckoning? I want to use this as a monster for a session and I mean it’s already a file with pictures etc so I will print this and put it into a folder it’ll be sick. Five stars of course and I’ll be sure to read more of your stuff this sort of thing is why containment fiction (genre of SCP Backrooms LA etc) is so good man.

Also I think you elaborated on the gun forms which is nice thanks for that.

Being a brand-new article and also adding to my mission to read every Malthus article, I decided I would give this a quick look. I remember hearing about this concept on the Discord server a good while back, so I was surprised to see it come to fruition.

The amount of detail for how this works is impressive. I think the research got a bit tedious, but maybe that just indicates I should be quicker to skim.

I didn't have high hopes for the last addendum, but it turned out to be the best part, describing the anomaly in action and tying the story into other articles. Also, great characterization for CoM! Makes for a good example on how they should be used. Gloriously edgy tbh

In spite of a somewhat aimless direction, I greatly enjoyed this. An unapologetically edgy Resident Evil virus that makes you grow guns from your bones slots right between making Malthus campy-awesome and really funny, which may very well be the only way to make them compelling.

I didn't quite like the experiments or the biological analysis — while they were interesting in the sense of learning some specific details of how 714 works they have a tendency to restate already-known info in a more verbose way and lead up to a conclusion that could've easily been reduced to a single sentence (it eludes me why something like "RPC-714 requires a cerebral makeup of such complexity that it rules out most non-human animals" wasn't chosen over the pig test, but it doesn't seem like anyone else minded it).

Interview's pretty fun too. Sells the tone of the article like nothing else could. It does slide from genuinely interesting to a bit too "anime" at times but I'm pretty sure that's unavoidable given the inspiration.
