The head of the Lakno are various shades of red corresponding to the individual, with a translucent endoskeleton of a bioluminescent light green hue, which again varies with each individual.
"The torso and extremities feature a translucent light-green exoskeleton, while the head is typically red. Lakno are bioluminescent, and the coloring of their features is individual-specific."
Facial features include a protruding forehead, mouth below the chin ridge, and two bulbous black eyes, capable of flashing colors for communication. The Lakno possess two double-jointed arms, with three fingers and two pseudo thumbs on each hand, allowing for a broader range of flexibility and tool use.
I'd do away with a lot of this physical description given that you have a reference image. Focus more on the uses of that body plan (like the colors and the arms) rather than its appearance.
The eyes of the Lakno have anomalous properties, acting as portals to an unknown energy source. While used generally to communicate, the eyes can also flash a sequence of colors in rapid succession.
Remove the prior mention of flashing eyes or integrate it with this one.

their origin has been kept a closely-guarded secret among the higher ranks within the Vimana.
If this is trying to imply that they keep their own origin a secret from their population, you really have to be clearer.
The Hopkins raided the Lakno’s primary ship
"The Hopkins" implies it's all of them. Specify: is it a group? A government group? A bandit group? Etc etc.
would have likely gone extinct
I'd say avoid using "extinct" if you want to leave it ambiguous as to whether they are endangered or not. Refer specifically to the Lakno within the ship as being nearly wiped out.
This event would sour any chances of Human-Lakno relations. However, after the post-Embers Day event, the Human-Kymen alliance has shifted the Lakno perception of mankind.
The first sentence suggests that this turn of events is permanent, which is contradicted by the next one.
The pacifist Lakno have since embraced a balance between the aggressive and passive aspects, either learned or inherited.
This sentence makes no sense to me. What exactly do you mean by it?
Pretty alright article otherwise, I enjoy the mystery about their origin, though I really wish it was focused on a bit more. Makes for a great hook regarding their motivations and it's just kinda wasted.
Origin currently unknown.
I'd honestly remove that since it's already mentioned later on that their origins are unknown, and in my opinion it just doesn't fit well worded like that and at the beginning of the article.
for the Lakno to speak about during interviews or even informal conversation. with GRPC members.
Remove that dot between "conversation" and "with".
For the rest, nothing to say. Seems good to me.
