A fire bowl resting on top of a 5 foot concrete pedestal with strange crimson flames inside the bowl. These flames are parasitic and will only enter a human body. After entering a human body, the host will be able to generate the same flames and shows hostility. The host will attack indiscriminately, and will be influenced by the flames to seek out those the host hates or perceived as a threat. The flames can not be put out with water for if any water that come into contact is rapidly boiled into steam. The flames feed off the hatred of the host causing fever, and dehydration. They grow stronger the more anger the host has or weaker if the host is calm. One host gave information about the artifact saying that it seems to be drawn to people who have anger issues.
The authority received a strange report about a man who was arrested for arson. Several videos captured the man shooting flames out of his hands and setting a building on fire. After being taken into custody and put into a fire proof cell, an interview was conducted. The man told the interviewer he wanted to burn down the business of the man who ruined his marriage. When asked about his condition the man replied that it happened after he stumbled upon an ancient temple in the cave he was exploring. He remembered after entering the temple he saw a pedestal with a lit fire bowl in the middle. He said when he approached the pedestal the flames moved wildly and lashed out at him and possessed him. The host died after suffering from dehydration 19 hours after being in containment. Researchers found out after the host died the fire bowl was re-lit. Thermal technology shows the flame gives off a heart beat like pulse and flickers back and forth as if it's alive. How long the temple has been there or what its purpose was is unknown.
Tests with the artifact showed that sand can slow down the spread of the flames created by the host. However, one incident with a researcher revealed something interesting. By playing certain kinds of music affect the flames. Calming music makes the fire turn blue and recede back into the bowl. If the flames take up a host then the host may be affected by the music as well. If in its crimson form its host will be forced to attack anyone that would become a threat to it. The flame will seek out anyone the host hated most in life.
