The description has some repetition in how the body paragraphs start and it’s a little dry but does a good job of teeing up the interview which is where this article shines. Definitely giving me some stuff to think about doing when it comes to my own writing, this is pretty darn good.

I also really like your article header and I’m probably going to steal it. I have been trying to make something similar myself but the one here is better than anything I’ve been able to come up with on my own.

I find the first half of the article (up to the second interview with Perigee) fascinating and a bittersweet read. The "death of magic/wonder" is one of RPC's most common tropes, and most of the article treats it in a uniquely endearing way that is lost with the second addendum. I'm not a fan of the historical connections being made, and the inclusion of AEP felt a little pointless to me — although I'm sure I missed something there.

I wish the article would've continued discussing 613 himself and Perigee instead of going down tangential threads of history. The ending email feels like a non-conclusion that should've gone somewhere else instead of leaving -B up in the air. As-is it's like the missing second half of addendum two rather than a fitting end.

The way RPC-613's death is mentioned at the top without any other role in the narrative is also rather awkward. The death of the focal point of the article should have more protagonism.
