though may I ask, does 555-2 serve as an all-in-one nutrion provider and if so can it be used by the auhority?
I wanted to work in a line about that but could never find a place for it.
the answer is yes, but consuming RPC-555-2 doesn't do much towards alleviating hunger so its use as a food source is purely supplementary. it also sees use in first aid due to its mildly regenerative properties.
the explanation (that I came up with after the fact) for why this isn't mentioned in the article is because the document we are reading was written shortly after RPC-555's discovery and that proposal hasn't made its way through the bureaucratic pipeline yet.
Good idea. Good concept. Decent execution. On hindsight, the cilindrical object doesnt do anything, its just kinda there? But the rest of the article is good enough for a story as short as this. I still abide by my nitpick, that the streamer should crawl instead of travel inside the cave due to the fact he probably broke his legs upon impact.

(account deleted)this needs more substance imo. it's an amazing article and there's nothing wrong with the execution but its less "ooh left me wanting more" and more like "this needs more".
What happens to reanimated people? Anything particular? Why does it say "animals" and not "entities"? Analysis of the fluid? It just needs something more for the reader to gnaw on.
Had low expectations from the outset, but this is a new favorite. That discovery log, damn… 5/5
