Hello, just a small announcement about the update to the policy. We upped the amount of time required for prospective rewriters to wait after asking for permission to rewrite articles. Currently an article can be rewritten if it has one of the following:

• Permission of the author

Or one of these conditions is met:

• Twelve weeks of no contact from the author after asking for permission while the article is consistently under 3.2 stars.
• Six weeks of no contact from the author after asking for permission while the article is consistently under 3.0 stars.
• The article is under the deletion threshold (equal or below 2.7 after 6 votes) for any period of time.

This has been changed from the former flat two weeks. Ask the author on both wikidot and discord if their account is known. Prospective rewriters must also meet the conditions outlined here, and any author "wills" must be followed.

If you do have a "will" for your articles should you become un-contactable please let it be known to staff.
