When I initially read "GAME OVER" quite a while ago, I gave it a 3/5. It probably felt too much like a corny video game creepypasta to me, but it's really grown on me since.
One thing that makes this article stronger than that is the characterization of RPC-930. Instead of taking the easy "sp00py" route, the object instead expresses pain from being exploited in an almost childlike tone, which adds to the factor of discomfort. The author shows an appreciation for the reversed power roles that have to be taken into account in the scenario of an RPC object; the players are now in power.
The addendums take this understanding further by using the object to tell an actual narrative in the Authority universe. Both the reader and the Authority are probably thinking by the end that RPC-930 is pathetic, but the final addendum finally re-reverses this dynamic by showing that, even if only through self-sacrifice, RPC-930 is capable of causing collateral damage.
Not an essential read, but still a well-played self-contained story in-universe. 5/5
Hazard Types: Sentient-Hazard None
"Sentient-Hazard" should not have a hyphen, and it should probably(?) be classed as Sapient since it is capable of communication. Also, it warrants the Mechanical property.
