SHEFFIELD: It seems R— Beazere only comes out of his cave when he needs to eat.
I already said this for 370, but I think the RPC confusion feels unnatural considering how "Beazere" rolls off the tongue so much easier than "arr-pee-see-one-ninety" or whatever.
SHEFFIELD: Well, Fernael said you don't attack villages because you're apparently a coward.
RPC-190-B: …What?
SHEFFIELD: Er, I've talked— I've talked to him. He said you're, uh, "feminal".
I do not believe a professional researcher would do this, knowing of the evident consequences it could have — unless the Authority wanted them to fight for whatever reason, which isn't said anywhere.
EDIT: In fact, it's directly detrimental to the Authority considering how they need guidance help from the villagers.
Other than that… I just find the conclusion unsatisfying. Not because there was no underlying reason, but because it wasn't really played up enough to work as a shaggy-dog sort of thing. I'm unsure of even why they were classified as anomalies in the first place, although that's just a nitpick.
