The design of the thing itself is a bit out of my expertise (Aerospace Electronics student), so I'll refrain from commenting on that. I suggest putting it on r/engineering or r/worldbuilding and consulting someone there.
I will ask of one thing, which is to push the operating date of this generator from 2004 to the late 2010s. I wrote 085 to talk about how the Authority, in it's lack of resources, significantly increased the resources needed to complete the project. If possible, could your article reflect this aspect?
This proposed modification to one of our nuclear reactors will utilize the heat generated by RPC-085 in order to achieve an infinite source of energy that's twice as powerful as an induced nuclear fission reactor.
I suppose the best thing one can do to make an article clinical would be to quantify as much as possible. How much energy does this thing actually generate? Also, "powerful" has to be more specific. I suppose you mean "double the power", so that twice as many watts.
an alloy believed to have a melting point of 4,263 kelvins
Capitalization m8. Also, I usually add full stops to my footnotes.
This article intrigues me and if it's not too much trouble, would you make it a collab? As the writer of 085, I want to see how I can help.
