There have been quite a few new GoIs, and with that, we must look back on our previous GoIs. While we always promote and support new and innovative ideas, we must look back one where we came from and the GoIs of yesteryear, and think do we really want to leave them in such a state while we add another GoI that barely scrapes by on the minimum. As such, we are implementing a GoI freeze where we will not allow any new GoIs to be added to the hub. This has no set end date, and comes along with other restrictions for current GoIs.
From now on, any GoI that doesn't get an article for 2-3 months (non-withstanding GoIs that have met a certain criteria of articles) will be moved into a "inactive" category. This will be on the GoI hub as a link, like minor GoIs, and will not be advertised on the top bar. This is explained in universe as "this GoI has stopped operating or has gone dormant, and may resurface in the future".
In addition, we're going to take a critical look at current GoIs that the community has pointed out as a problem that no one really wants to write for. We're not sure what we'll do yet, but we want to know you that yes, it is being looked into.
We hope these changes will provide new dimensions for you to challenge yourself in writing. If you have any questions, please contact the staff on the office server for more info. Have a nice day.
