A bit similar to the SCP - I am a Toaster but this is a cool tale in a way.
But it isn't a tale, it is a mainlist. Not that it's bad.
It’s good but I think it’s a bit silly after they’re sure of his anomalous effect why would they waste their time with the rest? And if this guy is trying to stick it to the authority why would he even state his anomalous effect or even write this in the first place I know the last point is a bit nitpicky but still
My initial reaction was that, from a writing standpoint, this is excellent. It's emotionally charged, interesting, and explains its own premise well. The more I think about it, though, isn't it a bit logically inconsistent?
- Why would this be the official documentation?
- Why not have 209 write their log entry when they're more cooperative, like just after being wiped?
- Why would the last thing 209 wrote be the entry, and not something earlier?
- Assuming something happened to the earlier data, why can't we know that? Either the effect only applies to things directly about 209, and a note from someone else could indicate that there are signs of data loss, or an earlier entry from 209 could be included as a preface, talking about how the previous data has been wiped and they have been asked to include "this note" as a placeholder until new data can be entered, because no one else can do it.
Great article, only I'm not sure why he wasn't just considered a lesser anomalous item.
