We had a discusssion about this a while ago and the name "Galton's Vision" was floated around and moderately accepted as an ok alternative (named after Francis Galton, Charles Darwin's cousin and the founder of modern eugenics, literally coining the term himself).

I totally support changing it, it's just coming up with an appropriate name to replace it with that's the hard part, since they're sort of presented as a psuedo-eugenics org using anomalous means to try and further humanity

If we want a human progress obsessed death cult then they do need a catchy name. If they are trying to help evolution along or move it in a direction they want they should be called Shepards or something benign sounding that draws in new converts before they are initiated into the inner workings of the organization.

ya but thats kinda unrelated, The Ark thing occured because man was sinful and doing all kinds of unholy things, meanwhile darwins hand just want to kill people in hopes it will make them evolve.

Why not do away with it being based on a person altogether?

This is a group of fanatics who think Survival of The Fittest is necessary, so why not call them "The Children of the Ark"?

I get the idea from the lore of ARK: SE. Plus, these people have an obsession with their ideas to an arguably religious extent, so therein lies the religious reference to the Ark of The Covenant or Noah's Ark for a connection to religious symbolism.

"The Darwins Hand" is a hilariously missnamed group for a multiple reasons

1. Its to close to "Serpents Hand"

2. there behavior is closer to the philosophy of Thomas Malthus

3. evolution is a possess that wouldn't need a hand! (metaphorical hand)

If anything Thomas Malthus philosophy on overpopulationg is way closer to "Darwins Hands" actions and as such should be changed
