The article does a good job showcasing the Authority putting the research they do in good use, which is rare to find. Even rarer is the exploration of the consequences of such endeavors. But, the issue is that while this article is good - it's nothing more than that. It's an accurate and well made representation of how such a thing might happen, but there is nothing more to it. It's a good report of events, but has no story.

Very nice idea with a decent execution, but the clinical tone is dated and could use some rewording (like when you say "subject" a lot) and polishing out

Left me feeling curious in regards to the company that made this bad luck glass.
Overall enjoyable. I also like how the glass is known to cause accidents and is based all over China where outlandish car pileups are common. Subtle.

I did and I assumed it would be a one time reference, but if other writers want to use it thats fine. The committee could be replaced with anything in the Authority that uses research to fund containment. IMO if the product isn't anomalous then the Authority can use it to fund itself.

I also think that giving the company that made RPC-041 a story is more interesting than just saying it appeared magically or something equally nondescript.

If it is that bad of an idea, I could easilly change them to an Authority front company. Same effect, just a differnt way of saying it. Front companies are run mostly by Level 0 personel, so it makes sense for them to try and save some their jobs by changing the manufacturing process.

What is the "Research Commercialization Committee?"

I checked with others and it seems like you created it, which is fine, but it needs explaining. This is a really big thing to just mention in an article honestly.
