Read it again today and related it from 4 to 2.

It's fairly bare bones. The idea is weird and unique enough to be able to stand on its own, no matter how wobbly, but it doesn't go anywhere with anything. The cosmic angle is interesting, but feels like it was thrown in last minute and that it could easily be replaced with any other origin with minimal to no changes.

Well, I will say this article doesn’t fall flat as a simple monster that kills people. I found ConProcs and Description to be clear, descriptive to the right point and capable of making the anomaly very clear. Of course, I am one hell of a cosmic horror junkie so the idea of more of these things coming appeals me quite a lot, however I found the dialogue in the addendum to be rather bland and almost unnecessary.

I won’t say one should expand upon this, but perhaps, and that’s just me, it could benefit from a couple more paragraphs; would justify that addendum existing after all.

4/5 premise. Neat monster.
2/5 delivery. Very bland, especially given that it can kill by suffocation, depressurization, or radiation. Also space aliens are dumb.
3/5 grammar. Writing feels a bit lazy.

Wait, so why won't the RPC cooperate with it again? This thing basically promised to go back to where it came from, saving them the trouble of containing it, and warned that if they kept it locked up, more of its kind will come in search of it. Seems like letting it go home would be a win-win situation.

Like this article a lot. It needs just a little more of an umpf, some interesting backstory like stalker-esque acquisition entry.

I think the picture really sold it for me, it's so unsettling, where the hell did you get it?

The article was also very well written, and the reference to it having "brothers" was a nice inclusion.
