5 without a doubt. This is the article that represents OI's Illuminati-NWO-paranoia-/x/ premise the best. Definitely the most ambitious thing on the website: four pitch-perfect author voices (five counting the video), incredible use of multimedia, a massive premise. I'm not surprised that the dude has been working on this (more or less) for 2 years.

However, I don't get why the Fée Moderne puzzle is so obtuse: it unfairly hides some of the best writing on the website. It could use a guide like RPC-000 (which wouldn't break immersion: I am reading this article on a website called wikidot.com and am one click from a massive .jpeg of Martin Scorcese). The Johnny Law puzzle is perfectly fine, though.

Despite that little complaint, this is as good as digital fiction gets.

Went back and forth on this one a bit, because there's a lot I like about it, but it felt like it didn't quite manage to come together in the end. Mostly because it felt like there were still a few too many unanswered questions. Big one was—was the whole point of this to start the forest fires, and use that as a pretext for a hostile takeover? If so, that feels a bit disappointing, a lot of buildup with a pretty weak payoff if that was all the conspiracy was meant to accomplish. Maybe I'd have gotten more out of it if I was familiar with the GOI here, but I haven't read much of their stuff. But overall, those issues didn't really bring it down too much, since there's still a lot of creepy atmosphere, and even if the destination was a little disappointing, the ride was still pretty fun.

Incredible job. Amazingly produced article with all the elements of believability for all its disparate parts, which come together beautifully at the end. Everyone's characterization was on point and the gradual unraveling of the conspiracy with all its moving parts and seemingly-irrelevant details was exceptionally constructed. The final page feels uniquely foreboding and overwhelming, with the conspiracy growing larger and larger and larger in such a short span of time. Gorman & Johnny were very compelling characters and I've already said this but what especially makes it all land for me is the sense that no matter how good the coverup, someone nosy and obsessed enough will pull on a loose thread left behind by the last guy and unravel the curtains.

Methinks this one's your magnum opus.

just a plain awesome article. super immersive, really made me feel like i was uncovering a huge conspiracy alongside dr. gorman, the tone of johnny law is a great and effective contrast to all the conspiracy shit, gabby's story is so incredibly tragic, felt myself being genuinely unnerved at times during the article (just in time for october too!), the ending twist made my jaw drop, etc.

don't even get me started on how hilariously accurate that horror youtuber parody was. excellent usage of multimedia throughout, a +5 all around.

Overall a great article, really a nice story woven together in the RPC format but some small nitpicks I have are.
Firstly that the "secret" article is an ass to find and admittedly I had to "backtrack" my steps to find it.
Second is that the "description" part of the article is really the discovery portion. I know that the event is important for the story but its so obviously not formatted right. RPC-903-C is never actually described in any amount of detail directly. Considering how well the authority was able to cover this up even internally, leaving out the actual description makes it feel wrong.

Very good article, left me wanting more.

My greatest criticism is that the audio logs are (puts media literacy cap on) telling more than they're showing with the "erm heres what anomalous phenomena occurred" at the end. I don't really have a fix for that or anything besides saying some shit like "what if it wasn't strictly an audio log but also a VIDEO log?" Simply a limitation of the format.

I'd say that I liked it overall, but I was a bit confused by the ending, did Gorman kill himself? Because there was that note that said that Gorman was deceased and the last note seems to have an air of finality to it.

What a great article. Engaging, immersive, mysterious! The production value was insane as well, I felt like I was watching Nexpo with that one video. Good job, Boson, this one's a classic!
