There is nothing wrong with it in any way, but the issue is that there isn't anything good, or rather noticeable about it. It's an introduction to a bigger story, it's pure potential that gives a hint as to what it might be like in the future. But the problem is that it's exactly that, it's just potential - you can't judge a story through only one of its chapters, tenfold for its first one. Due to this, I am not able to come to a conclusion whether this is a good or bad entry for the contest - although I will look forward to the finished project.
