This has me beg the question how it became the way it is. I'd otherwise not but the choice of a parasitic record is pretty random to me without a backstory. The discovery doesn't say anything to answer that and instead says not much at all, nothing novel even.
Awkwardly written for most of the article too, can be more concise. Like

…internal bleeding as well as a much more painful death.

Needs a proper ending to make it more impactfull, feels a bit aimless as is. The concept is interesting though. And shouldn't the last addendum be included in the songs list? With a footnote explaining the context? It's out of place where it is.

This is certainly better than the original draft, but still has many bits of odd phrasing or hard-to-read sentences, and the ending still doesn't go anywhere. 3 for now, but keep polishing it.
