You have a pretty solid article, besides the grammar and wording nitpicks I have below, there's not much I have to critique.

+ Open

- Close

The runes seem to be of Nordic origin, though the specifics of which clan may have created it are indiscernible

I would remove "may have"

Perplexingly, at the bottom of RPC-052 is a poetic statement written in English, as opposed to the Nordic runes written across the rest of the stone, of which reads:

Maybe replace "poetic statement" with poem?

Authority agents were swiftly called in to section off the area upon the death of one of the aforementioned archaeologists from RPC-052-inflicted frostbite.

Replace "from" with due to?
Remove the dash between RPC-052 and inflicted?

I've been places in Greenland that were cold. This is antarctic.

Put "to" between been and places.
Maybe replace the the period after cold with a ", but"?

Yeah. Maybe.

Maybe replace the period after yeah with a comma?

Yes it is. Can't help it.

Maybe put a comma after the yes?

RPC-052 is a 3m x 1m x 0.33m rectangular runestone,2 located in the wilderness of Greenland, at latitude ███ longitude ███.

I know they're supposed to be revisions of the same article, but seeing the same footnote repeated does bother me a little. Personally, I would keep the footnote on the first page and delete it from the second and third.

I'm not typically a fan of format screwery because its usually just a facade to hide bad writing, but I'm not seeing that phenomenon in play here.

And some nitpicks:

1- The deep blue text that says "Level 2/3 Classified" is baerly readable, or at least to me, dark colors on a dark background dont work well

2- Maybe put all the footnotes in a collapsible, because they all say the same. This page shows how: http://rpcsandbox.wikidot.com/ttpy-object-class

3- i dont know what is even up with arrows at the end, some explanation would be appreciated.

And thats pretty much it

I will answer the Guiding Question at the end part of the crit

RPC-052 The Lid (1)

Containment Protocols:

The monument itself is to be researched via robots resistant to mechanical frost build-up

Or you could just say "equipped with heating devices"

Description:

RPC-052 is a 3m x 1m x 0.33m rectangular runestone1,

I suggest placing the footnote after the comma becuase if not, it looks kinda wierd

located in the wilderness of Greenland at latitude ███ longitude ███.

located in the wilderness of Greenland, at latitude ███ longitude ███.*

The stone itself is made of solid quartz and analysis indicates that it has stood in its current location for roughly ███ years undisturbed

The stone itself is made of solid quartz, and analysis indicates that it has stood in its current location for roughly ███ years undisturbed* Also, is there a reason to black out the years it has stood up? Same with all other redactions, i dont like them, but thats a personal thing

May thine fields remain bare,

And the fruits within slumber in peace,

So that order be restored throughout.

For what gluttons dost not chaos reign supreme?

¨¨I think they would look good on Italics**

Discovery:

RPC-052 was discovered in winter of 1971

Month? Day?

Addendum 052.1:

I really like this "interview" very based

RPC-052 The Lid (2)

Containment:

Nothing to complain here aside from, maybe make the red a little more bright? Because when its a lot of red text, it kinda bleeds together

Description:

Really like the aproach you taking with this

Discovery:

Given Incident 052-1 and the consequent messages from Head Researcher Gilligan

Given Incident 052-1, and the consequent messages from Head Researcher Gilligan*

by Containment Division

by the Containment Division* **You could aso say "by Containment's Engineering Component"

Incident 052-1 and Transferal Requests:

Something seems fishy… btw your footnote block code is fucked up at the end

RPC-052 The Lid (3)

Containment Protocols:

RPC-052 is not be moved from its original position for whatever reason

The removal of RPC-052 from its original position, no matter the reason, is strictly prohibited.*

Description:

Given the extreme risk associated with RPC-052, tests with breaking containment will not be conducted.

As in: Given the extreme risk associated with RPC-052, tests involving it's removal from containment are not to be conducted*?

Incident 052-2 and RPC-052-2 Message:

Your footnote is fucked again at the bottom

Guideline Questions and Final Review:

1- How fitting is the title of the article now that you've read the whole thing? Very much, it hits you at the very end, but its cool.

2- How obvious is it what RPC-052 actually does? would you leave more up to imagination or less, or would you keep it as is? At first i tought it was making the researchers crazy with how much they fucking hated the rock and their desire to move it to a site, so i believed the ideological hazards was starting to get them, but turns out i was wrong. I think if you stop to think for a minute you can guess what it does, its cool.

3- The entire article hinges on the build-up to the beta-black classification and the cryptic information given as justification. how well was this accomplished? would you cut or add anything? I think you did a fantastic job, i really liked the buildup and the things you came up with.

4- Corrupted text as attempted in addendum 052.2 of the final revision is known in some cases to be laughably bad or cringey, how was the execution in this article? would you remove or add anything to make it more unsettling/authentic? Im not gonna lie, i hate corrupted text in any sort of form, and i believe a short, cryptic message at the end would work even better.

5- How well do the images in addendum 052.2 of the final revision tie up the article and highlight the risk of RPC-052 breaking containment? They do a pretty good job, yeah.

Overall i loved this article. fantastic work, 5/5

Wow, the article is overall really great I don't have much I could say about it, the ending really had me on the edge of my seat and is funny how well you could develop the story to be about this creepy old town with a secret, the plot really went somewhere and then it twisted itself apart. Great job
Besides that, I might not have understood what the effect was fully, or what has happened in the ending however I still enjoyed the ride. And in the end, that is what matters.
The coding looks gorgeous and clean, honestly, I'm my opinion you might already be the winner so far.
Overall Good Job.

P.s.: One suggestion I do have is: The actual interview with one of the villagers, would be amazing to see their reactions and even a hint/glimpse of what is about to come.

Due to my extreme lack of time for the next 4 weeks, I will provide simplified critTM. I'll focus on content and narrative instead of grammar nitpicks, as a result.

Before I begin though, I do suggest breaking the paragraphs down. Many of them deserve to be 2 paragraphs.

Content

+ show block

– hide block

So, it's a tablet that makes things colder, but tries to breach containment? Nice.

This is a good idea and I think it's quite "clean". The basic structure of the idea is excellent.

Narrative

+ show block

– hide block

No issues here, except for the final pictures. I get that it's now heating up, but they don't combine well enough to give an understanding of exactly "what happens now". Are lava men going to pour out? Is is going to heat up the world? Or maybe just a generic creepypicture will do.

Again, excellent work.

Suggested Reading

+ show block

– hide block

http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-3969

Regarding pictures. (3-4)/5 due to crippling grammar issues, nothing I believe that you won't fix soon. This reminds me of 364, and I really liked 364.

Done! Good job!
