I like the idea that it antagonized the Authority after took the opportunity of a containment breach to escape, but what it did before doesn't make a lot of sense. If it's intelligent (escape prowess), why did it not attempt any form of communication before the breach? The story feels a bit too: "I want to convey this message but I don't know how to organically transistion to it.".

Also, the object class is extreme, I believe that either beta-orange or gamma-orange would be more applicable.
