Ah, but remember that PBB is notoriously incompetent.

For a similar analogy imagine a Quaker from the 1800s is waving a "Branch of God" (literally just a stick on fire) over your smartphone, then proclaims your device is "touched by Satan". That's the angle I was subconsciously going for when I wrote that scene.
