Props for making me check the image's ratio if it matches 8.5 x 11, which in fact it does NOT. If this was intentional I swear.

I will say that the letter could have used more effective prose to further sell its emotional tone. And I can't help but feel slightly disappointed it didn't cover more grounds for imparting memory loss grief, as I have seen this serve that exact message far more effectively for it.

Nevertheless I was moved.

While some of the testing log notes provide valuable information, others just proclaim how to interpret what happened. Jackson talks too much. The tests are overzealous with crosslinks that aren't here for any lucid reason; banal media would induce thought just as well without the perils of using classified material, and though at first I was curious as to how — say — RPC-506 would be used, it turns out it wasn't and any other subject would've been functionally identical.

For mass hysteria this event just doesn't fit the bill. Maybe it's enough excuse to shut someone up, but you could do a lot better if you want to be sly.

The incident log that's supposed to set tension doesn't conclude its own ideas. To all bullets but the second I have to ask: "what does that mean, and what happened with it?" Do we just have two Dr. [REDACTED]s going about their business now? "Writing manifesting on the interior of Site-044" where and how? Did they have to clean it off the walls? And what on earth is "a non-anomalous version of RPC-042"? All I get is, "incident disoriented personnel and disrupted general site operation," which didn't need to be said.

Conceptually it's pretty solid, as is the writing. The interviews are my favorite part even if the characters are unfortunately same-voiced. I found it about as enjoyable to read as the other indestructible anomalous camera, which perhaps had the opposite problem of being too slow and dense for its own good. "Hermann Zapruder's Mystery Camera" is a mediocre title though.
