Feed. Feed. Feed.

That's all it had in mind from the moment it came to life.

Feed. Feed. Feed.

Those were its first thoughts when one became two.

Feed. Feed. Feed.

But there was nothing to eat, so it moved. It traveled for a long time in the dark, cold, unwelcoming void. How long exactly? It didn't know. Time wasn't important, for it had no concept of it. But it did have the idea of its hunger growing more and more.

Feed. Feed. Feed.

Eventually, it felt it. Life. Food. For many, it would've been very far away. But for it, it was just a matter of speed. That's when it first saw a spaceship - not that it knew what it was. For it, it was just a metal container full of food.

But they knew what it was, they knew what it would've done to them, so they started shooting, but their lasers had no effect.

Feed. Feed. Feed.

An opening. It needed an opening. With violence, it started hitting the ship, again and again. Its gelatinous body slammed against the metal until an opening eventually formed. It slid right inside. The food locked heavy doors in hopes it would save them from the vacuum of space, and from it. While successful in the former endeavor, they were fruitless in the latter.

"Celliut aboard! I repeat, Celliut aboard!" Screamed one of them, not that those words had any meaning for it. They were just sounds. The only words that mattered were the ones in its mind.

FEED! FEED! FEED!

It attacked them, one by one. Whenever its body came in contact with theirs, there simply was no escape. They would be absorbed quickly, and quickly so, more of it was made. One became two, two became four, and soon they were a swarm. Sometimes its copies would try to eat something as well, and sometimes they would succeed, but it wanted to be the one that ate the most. Eventually, the food would end, and only they would remain. But they wouldn't try to eat each other, for now.

Feed. Feed. Feed.

Together, they took control of the ship and started moving it. In this way, others wouldn't have realized they were there until it was too late, until it would have been time to feed once more.
