Information
This document was provided to the Authority by the People's Committee for the Acquisition of Anomalous Objects during the Agency Self-Reliance agreement of 2008. Anomaly-197 is still under PCAAO possession.
6 instances of Anomaly-197-1.
Anomaly ID #: 197
Corporal [REDACTED], the DNA source for all current instances of Anomaly-197-1.
Threat Level #: 2 0 1
Benefit Level: 5
Security Protocols: Anomaly-197 is to be secured inside the inanimate objects wing at Facility-12 at all times. All DNA samples are forbidden to come within 20 meters of Anomaly-197, with the exception of testing. Any instance of Anomaly-197-1 which is not part of a test is to be neutralized immediately. As of 3/6/1985, due to the discovery of loyal Anomaly-197-1 instances, Anomaly-197 has been downgraded to Threat Level zero. DNA from volunteering PCAAO units is to be used to create Anomaly-197-1 instances, which are then to be used in military roles. This DNA source is to be changed every year. All corrupted instances of Anomaly-197-1 are to be shot on sight.
Description of Anomaly: Anomaly-197 is a prototype medical device initially manufactured for military use. Anomaly-197 is 3 meters tall, with a width of 4 meters. Anomaly-197 weighs 2 metric tonnes. Anomaly-197 requires no external power source, featuring an internal generator. When needed, Anomaly-197 can be disconnected by the removal of this power source.
Anomaly-197's anomalous properties manifest when used by an individual. Upon use of Anomaly-197, all wounds present on a user's body before the use of Anomaly-197 will be cured. However, Anomaly-197 will create a new wound on the subject's back, which remains as a permanent scar. This process only occurs upon the removal of the current DNA sample. After this process, Anomaly-197 will extend a pod-like device. over the course of two hours, this device proceeds to generate two instances of Anomaly-197-1.
Anomaly-197-1 instances are exact biological clones of the current DNA source, although not baring the Anomaly-197 generated scar. These instances are sapient, and are capable of fluent speech, fluid movement, and perception of all senses. Anomaly-197-1 instances lack individuality, however, operating in a hive-mind. As of 3/6/1985, this hive-mind behavior has been discovered to be similar to a military structure, with all Anomaly-197-1 instances following commands from a perceived "superior," being the original DNA source. As of 21/6/1997, Defective instances have been sighted. These Anomaly-197-1 instances possess many facial variations from the host, as well as the concept of free will.
Discovery: Anomaly-197 was discovered at [CLASSIFIED] Military base on 21/9/1984, when two instances of Anomaly-197-1 were detected inside of the room containing Anomaly-197. Anomaly-197 was then closely observed. upon the detection of a third instance, Anomaly-197 was transferred to Facility-12, with the contained DNA sample being extracted. Anomaly-197 was then put under surveillance for the next 24 hours, in case of leftover manifestations occurring.
Date: 20/2/1985
Procedure: Six instances of Anomaly-197-1 were generated and were observed for 24 hours. The test chamber was completely sealed, with all access being operated from an administrator panel.
Results: The instances began to work together, constantly referring to "The master". The instances began to work together to escape their containment chamber. Upon failure, All 197-1 instances turned their attention to the observation chamber. The instances then boosted each other to reach the glass. The initial instance proceeded to break the observation room glass, opening the test chamber's door. All 6 instances were then shot and neutralized.
Analysis: "The instances seem to work together. they are clearly intelligent. I see potential." - Researcher Zemin
Date: 3/6/1985
Procedure: Six instances of Anomaly-197-1 were generated and were observed for 24 hours. The test chamber was completely sealed, with all access being operated from an administrator panel. Researcher Zemin entered Anomaly-197 prior to the test. In the event that these instances can be controlled, an expendable had also been placed in the room.
Results: The instances immediately looked toward the observation chamber, looking towards Researcher Zemin. A vocalization was reported from all Six instances simultaneously, saying something along the lines of "Master, what shall we do?" Researcher Zemin replied with "Kill the expendable". All six 197-1 instances proceeded to lunge toward the expendable personnel, beating the expendable to death over the course of 3 minutes. All instances of Anomaly-197-1 were then neutralized.
Analysis: "Well, this can lead to extra manpower. And lots of it. We've made a breakthrough." - Researcher Zemin
Date: 2/9/1987
Researcher Zemin, who had been the head researcher on Anomaly-197 for two years, decided to interview an instance. Noting the presence of a possible hive-mind, Zemin decided to interview two instances of Anomaly-197-1 at once. After two instances of Anomaly-197 were generated by Anomaly-197.
Foreword: The following is the Interview between Head Researcher Zemin and the two instances of Anomaly-197-1, recorded inside Facility-12.
<Begin Log>
Zemin: “So, what is your collective purpose?"
Anomaly-197-1 instances: "We serve our leader. The one with the mark."
Zemin: "I see. Who created you?"
A-197-1's: "Easy. The master. He used the machine to do it. The great creation.”
Zemin: "Very intriguing. Why do you exist?"
A-197-1's: "As we said, we exist to serve our leader. No matter what cost."
Zemin: "Ok then. Well, would you be willing to die for your leader?"
A-197-1's: "Yes we are. We will do anything."
Zemin: "Very interesting. Well, he has ordered you two to die. "
Both Anomaly-197-1 manifestations snap their necks.
<End Log>
The bodies of both Anomaly-197 instances were then taken to Facility 1's incinerator and disposed of. Researcher Zemin proceeded to his quarters, watching the interview footage again.
Date: 21/6/1997
On 21/6/1997, one instance of Anomaly-197-1 was sighted with blue eyes, a minuscule, but notable lightening of skin pigment, and brown hair, as opposed to the DNA source. This instance attempted to breach containment, only to be restrained. Researcher Zemin then brought in the instance for questioning.
Foreword: The following is the Interview between Head Researcher Zemin and the defective instance of Anomaly-197-1, recorded inside Facility-12.
<Begin Log>
Zemin: “You're different from the rest. Why?"
Anomaly-197-1: "Maybe It's because I don't want to die for you or this organization. I have his memories. Using him to build an army of clones. We are humans, artificial or not."
Zemin: "False. Objectively, you are not human. Were you born in a womb?"
Anomaly-197-1: "Yeah, that machine. Commie bastard.”
Zemin: "Commie? who taught you this western slang?"
Anomaly-197-1: "The source, dumbass. How have you forgot his exclusion to Hong Kong?"
Zemin: "Those are some choice words. How are you not part of the collective, like the others?"
Anomaly-197-1: "You really expected that cloning machine to work 100 percent of the time? God. Communists like you are fucking retarded."
Zemin: "I don't like your tone or attitude. Time to die, defect!"
Anomaly 197-1: Up yours, comrade!
<End Log>
The defective Anomaly-197-1 instance proceeded to steal a QBZ-95 assault rifle from a security officer, killing him. The instance was then recorded running towards Facility-12's motor pool. The instance escaped Facility-12, with whereabouts of the instance being unknown As of 2009, the defective instance has been tracked down in Kazakhstan, and has been assassinated by PCAAO authorities.
